If it’s man-made and can move by some mechanical means then it can compete in races. The first thing that comes to mind is usually cars, then motorcycles, boats, and other mainstream vehicles. As the human race is wired to constantly be creative and try new things, they’ve come up with a vase array of motor sports for nearly every mechanized craft on the planet. Add to the list snowmobiles, jet skis, lawn mowers, aircraft, tractors and radio-controlled vehicles to mention just a few.

In most cases it is impractical for people to participate in some of the bigger vehicle race events. But depending on what is in your area you can find other alternatives to enjoy a motorized thrill; whether firsthand or as a spectator. Each venue brings unique challenges and rules, but they all deliver on the entertainment value to feed our competitive nature.
